Welcome to Our Program
Welcome to the Resurrection Family Medicine Residency. For over 30 years, our ACGME-accredited program has trained outstanding physicians committed to holistic, community-based care.
Set on Chicago’s northwest side, our suburban-style campus combines nationally recognized inpatient and outpatient training with tight-knit teams and personalized mentorship.
Our curriculum offers broad exposure—including osteopathic medicine, lifestyle medicine and point-of-care ultrasound—while supporting each trainee’s career plans in areas like sports medicine, hospital medicine, direct primary care, and more.
Our Mission
To develop compassionate, competent and community-focused family physicians who deliver comprehensive longitudinal care across all stages of life, particularly in diverse and underserved populations.
Program Highlights
Residents experience a balanced mix of clinical training in inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings across a teaching hospital recognized as a Leapfrog Top Teaching Hospital.
Team-based learning and continuity clinic care are central, with faculty mentors guiding small cohorts through all three years. Our curriculum emphasizes versatility: sports medicine, osteopathic medicine, lifestyle medicine, ultrasound, comprehensive chronic illness management, and elective flexibility for tailored professional interests.
Residents lead inpatient teams alongside interns from the Transitional Year program and medical students from affiliated institutions, gaining valuable exposure to acute care and consultative practice. Additionally, collaboration with the Emergency Medicine and Ultrasound fellowships delivers enhanced critical-care and procedural learning opportunities.
Our hospital serves more than 15,000 admissions and 34,000 ED visits annually—large enough to offer complexity and volume, yet small enough for personalized resident experiences.
