What to Expect During Labor and Delivery

Our state-of-the-art Labor and Delivery Unit features spacious, private birthing suites equipped with advanced fetal monitoring systems, pain management options, and all the amenities you need to feel comfortable and in control. Whether you’re planning a natural birth, require a C-section, or desire an epidural, our team will work with you to honor your birth plan while prioritizing the safety of both you and your baby.

We also offer continuous support from board-certified obstetricians, neonatal nurses, and anesthesia specialists, ensuring expert care is always within reach.

We understand that no two births are alike. That’s why our approach to maternity care is individualized, respectful, and family-centered. Maternity Education Classes at Resurrection Medical Center

We offer a variety of maternity education classes to prepare you and your partner for the exciting journey of childbirth. These classes are held monthly and are designed to provide practical tips, education, and support for the birth of your child.

Monthly Classes Include:

  • Prepared Childbirth – Designed to prepare you and your partner for the birth of your child.

    • Monthly: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. (January 24th, February 21st, March 21st)

  • Breastfeeding – Education along with tips and tricks to successful breastfeeding.

    • Monthly: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (January 24th, February 21st, March 21st)

  • Baby Care Basics – Basic infant care to assist you with how to care for your infant after delivery.

    • Monthly: 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. (January 24th, February 21st, March 21st)

Our Intermediate Care Nursery provides specialized medical attention for newborns who need extra support after birth. Whether your baby is premature, has a low birth weight, or requires close monitoring due to medical complications, our team of experienced neonatologists, neonatal nurses, and pediatric specialists delivers expert care in a nurturing, family-centered environment. We’re committed to giving your baby the healthiest possible start in life, using advanced technology, compassionate care, and 24/7 monitoring in a safe and supportive setting.

We care for newborns with:

  • Premature birth (born before 37 weeks gestation)
